Dick Van Strallen surfboards are made for all levels, whether you're just starting out today or you're an experienced surfer ready for some serious surfing, DVS has a board for you.
Here we break down each model by its attributes and explain the finer details.
Fish
※Recommended people
- People who want to have some buoyancy (more than 50% of their body weight) but don't want to add too much length
・People who like a loose feel
・People who often have trouble choosing the wave conditions
Rocket Fish
This is the most high-performance model among DVS fish models, and the board moves like a shortboard. The model template is so well-established that it was even modeled by Aviso. The sizing is slightly narrower and longer than other DVS fish models. It is slightly thinner, but has a deck concave. Click here for impressions.
Hydro Hull

It features large concaves on the deck and bottom. The deck concave stabilizes the paddling posture and the behavior of the board, and the bottom concave releases a large amount of water flow between the fins, increasing speed and turning efficiency, and some people feel it is looser. It is suitable for those who want both more buoyancy and action performance. We recommend ordering it with EPS material, which goes well with the shape plan.
Classic Fish

The bottom concave is conservative, which creates a more predictable behavior. This is recommended for those who want to use one fish in various sizes of waves. The wood keel fin in the photo is an optional specification.
WASP

This model is thicker than the aforementioned models, and even beginners can ride it in a short length. The quad fin setting makes turning easier, but it also has performance that will satisfy even professionals.
Fan
※Recommended people
・People who don't go surfing often
・People who are slow to improve their surfing or have just started
Toast

This model combines a bottom concave that follows the flow of the Hydro Hull with a round nose and a square tail. It is generally ordered in the same length as a fish.
Wiener & Micro

Both are tri-fin fun models, with the Micro having a rounder outline. They are available in a wide range of sizes, allowing fun surfing for all levels.
