It is unclear whether this is related to surfing, but there has been a sudden increase in BP5-related accesses recently.
It's been a while since my last post, but I have just completed my 12 month inspection.
I also had a lot of trouble with the headlights, but this vehicle is a later model of the C-type.
The only model equipped with an auto-leveller.
And the only difference is the headlight specifications!
Therefore, there are many manual leveling specifications available.
Used - Rebuilt headlights cannot be used?
(Is there anyone who uses it?)
I ordered a used one by specifying the model number, but to be honest the condition was a bit questionable.
After consulting with the repair shop,
I decided to replace it just before the next vehicle inspection.
I had a hard time finding a repair shop,
I chose the least stressful option possible!
The car was delivered about a week after the 12-month inspection was scheduled.
After looking at various things,
It turned out to be not such a bad vehicle.
The past maintenance history is good
The rust on the body of the car is not too bad, and there doesn't appear to be any damage from salt or calcium on snowy roads.
In particular, the oil leak from the horizontally opposed head is
It seems like some kind of countermeasure has been taken. (It may be for the whole of BP/BL)
That being said, there are some details that bother me...
BP/BL standard front lower arm bushings are broken
Maybe it was because it scraped against the side of the road, or the under cover was about to come off.
The biggest problem is that the drive shaft boot is torn.
If this is broken, your car will not pass inspection.
I don't know when it expired,
Maybe it can't be helped since I drove it on circuits and mountain passes after purchasing it.
It would be cheaper to just replace the boots,
The lifespan of the drive shaft itself is said to be 150,000 to 170,000 km.
In that case it would be better to replace it!
I thought the labor costs would be pretty high, but rebuilding is surprisingly cheap.
Again, I ordered the parts myself, made a reservation at the factory, and completed the repairs once the parts were delivered.
There weren't any strange noises or anything, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
I'm also curious about the transmission mount and pitching stopper.
