Dick Van Strallen surfboards are made for all levels, whether you're just starting out today or you're an experienced surfer ready for some serious surfing, DVS has a board for you.

Here we break down each model by its attributes and explain the finer details.

Performance

DFQ (Double Flyer Quad)

DVS DFQ

DVS's latest performance board is suitable for those who want to use one surfboard for everything from small waves to head-over waves. In small waves, the quad setting gives a skating sensation, and even when the size increases, the rails have good hold and are suitable for tube riding. It has a normal dome deck instead of a deck concave. If you mostly use it in small waves to chest/shoulder size, we recommend EPS, and if you mostly use it in head-over waves, we recommend PU.

Pocket Rocket

A historic performance model from DVS with a traditional thruster setting. For those who want to enjoy good shoulder waves or pocket surfing in demanding waves. Customization with increased volume is also possible for those with a larger physique.

Twin (Pin) Flyer

These are models that have been made since before the recent Twin Fin revival boom. The swallowtail improves hold at the top of the board, while the pintail provides extended turns. The character of each board is determined by the order.

Single Fin

This model follows the style of the DVS single fin boards that were loved by many famous riders in the 1970s. The performance honed by the Kira and Burley tubes can now be replicated at your feet.

Quad Skate

This model features a deck concave and a square tail, making it perfect for small waves up to chest size. The shorter length gives you the feeling of skating on the waves. Selecting the optional bottom carbon will further improve performance in small waves.

Reef Runner

A semi-gun model with a wide-forward outline that enhances paddling power. It is essential for safe fun at larger reefs and point breaks. It is generally ordered in the 7 to 8 foot range, and the fin system can be selected from single, tri, and quad.

Gun

A gun that only a limited number of shapers can make to suit extreme conditions. The fin system can be selected between tri and quad.
