This is a masterpiece that is still hand-shaped by Dick Van Straalen, a legendary Australian shaper with 55 years of experience. The Classic Fish is classified as a traditional type in the DVS lineup. It is equipped with a deck concave that increases the stability of the paddle, but the other outlines and shape volumes remain the same as the traditional Fish. In other words, compared to the innovative Hydro Hull, it has the advantage of being more predictable. In other words, it is also better suited to the good wave quality that traditional Fish pursues. The board maintains its volume and draws a gentle rocker that goes through to the tail. The rails also have volume, but the edges are dropped in many parts, and the bottom goes from a gentle convex to a nearly flat center of the board, and then changes to a reverse vee in the fin area. This board also uses original wooden fins made by a friend of DVS. The fins, which are stacked in many layers that I have never seen in other brands, are very difficult to obtain, which further increases the historical value of this board in the future.
