A completely new interpretation of the big fish board by Australian legendary shaper Dick Van Straalen, who has over 50 years of experience shaping. This model was created with the concept of being safe for surfers of all levels to enjoy in a variety of wave conditions. Unlike other big fish models from other brands, its capabilities are fully compatible with the deep, tubey breaks of his hometown Gold Coast.
The rails are left just thick enough, and the deep single-double-vee concave from the nose area allows for a fast paddle take-off. The strong rocker on both the front and back creates stability and vertical movement in deep waves. It's also a great step-up board for those who usually ride longboards. Hand-painted by Dick himself, this is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
