This is a masterpiece by Dick Van Straalen, a legendary Australian shaper with 55 years of experience who still hand shapes it. The DVS single fin, which made its name with Kira and Burley, has been updated and brought back to life in modern times. The nose is beaked, but the rest of the shape has been moderately reduced in volume to improve its compatibility with powerful waves. The rails are medium and the bottom is a vee combination. The volume around the tail has been reduced, and combined with the diamond tail, it exhibits high action performance. It is tuned to handle normal beach break waves, but it is still a board that you will want to enjoy a timeless moment in good waves.
