This is a masterpiece that is still hand-shaped by Dick Van Straalen, a legendary Australian shaper with 55 years of experience. This board is a custom of the basic DVS shortboard template "Flyer", and is shaped with EPS foam that has a proven track record both in Australia and overseas. The nose is left thick to ensure buoyancy and paddle speed, and the nose has a deep single-double-reverse vee concave. The combined effect of these features allows for faster paddles and takeoffs, as well as faster start-ups and turning. The tail is a pintail with a sharp wing. Combined with the fully edged rails, it provides stable take-off and shoulder hold even in powerful waves.
The only thing that is missing is some foot marks on the deck, and it can be used as is.
