Matt Grote, who is based in Hermosa Beach, California, started skateboarding at the age of 5 and surfing at the age of 11. After moving to San Francisco, he met Mark Andreini and learned about the history of surfing, the world of alternative boards, and shaping. His boards, influenced by various surfers from the shortboard revolution era, are a must-see in California today.
The Lighthouse is a model that combines various California hull designs. It is mainly over 7 feet long and features long rail lines. You can enjoy the smooth turns that are the best part of the hull, but the round pintail allows for stable riding even in large waves. It is also easy to handle and can be used as a step-up board for longboarders.
There are some light foot marks on the deck and some professional repairs on the rails and tail. The bottom is clean and ready to use.
