Jed, who lives in South Australia, is a shaper with nearly 30 years of experience, but the turning point in his career was when he worked on the fish of the genius Derek Hind. Jed's career, which began with kneeboards, was further refined by working on boards for Burton Lynch, Tom Carroll, and others in addition to Derek Hind. He can now be called a true originator, with unparalleled techniques such as woodwork and flex tails.
His fish has its roots in San Diego fish, which means that he has the spirit of Steve Liz, the founder of fish, who is "a kneeboarder, rich in originality, and understands the true position of fish boards that are not for small waves." In fact, his fish is modified more than a typical San Diego fish, and features wings in the fin area. In addition, the rocker, fin foil, and volume shape of each part are set to function at a size close to his height.
Jed's surfboard production starts with foaming and pressing the foam himself. The distinctive double stringers and nose/tail blocks greatly extend the life of the board.
