Koz McRae grew up in Santa Barbara surrounded by his uncle who was a shaper and George Greenough who made boats on the roadside. After a life of partying, he decided to become a shaper and studied under fellow townsman Ryan Lovelace. His surfboards, which incorporate various tastes from the 1960s to 1980s when America was in its prime, are now rapidly gaining popularity.
This fin was developed for Koz's best-selling mid-length Mistress. The wide base and narrow tip work on acceleration and rotation, and the reduced fin height also reduces the board's resistance. It can also be used as a single fin or a 1+2 center fin.
