MPE is a new brand by Kirk Putnam, who has collaborated with the late Scott Anderson and Brian Hilbers. The Wildcat is an improved V-bottom that he started developing with Andreini, Riddle, Brian Hilbers, and others in the mid-70s, and has a medium rocker, rails, and board volume. The bottom changes from roll to tri-plane to Vee to flat, and an edge has been added to the tail area compared to the previous one, making it even easier to handle.
