An original design by George Greenough, the Power Blade pushes the boundaries of modern single fin surfboards. After years of careful material selection, exhaustive testing, redesign and unique flex pattern construction, the Power Blade was born with the potential to rival the performance characteristics of a thruster.
The most important design aspect of the Power Blade is its ability to bend and "twist" at the "head" of the fin. This characteristic allows for "variable traction" similar to a thruster, where the tail of the board follows the nose to generate propulsion. In a sense it acts like a fish's tail, bending and twisting back and forth to generate propulsion based on the direction and angle of attack. The narrow base minimizes hydraulic resistance, giving a great deal of responsiveness, speed and maneuverability in a single fin . Ultimately, the Power Blade literally fulfills three distinct and exacting requirements in a single fin: stiffness where it's needed, specific flex characteristics and the ability to twist.
There is only light wear and tear and scratches, so it can be used as is.
