Matt Grote, based in Hermosa Beach, California, started skateboarding at age 5 and surfing at age 11. When he moved to San Francisco, he met Mark Andreini, who taught him about surfing history, the world of alternative boards, and shaping. His boards, influenced by various surfers from the shortboard revolution era, are a must-see in California today.
Clove is a model of a completely new genre that expands the specifications and applications of conventional hulls. It has improved bottom planing performance and easy-to-handle control performance. The bottom design used in Clove is highly versatile and can be developed with various ideas. The Twinzer specification allows for the same takeoff speed and speed as the Bonzer.
