Matt Grote, based in Hermosa Beach, California, started skateboarding at age 5 and surfing at age 11. When he moved to San Francisco, he met Mark Andreini, who taught him about surfing history, the world of alternative boards, and shaping. His boards, influenced by various surfers from the shortboard revolution era, are a must-see in California today.
Clove is a model in a completely new genre that expands the specifications and applications of conventional hulls. It has improved bottom gliding performance and easy-to-handle control performance. The bottom design used in Clove is highly versatile and can be developed in conjunction with various ideas.
There is some dirt near the nose from the dye from the board case. The deck and bottom look clean and can be used as is.
