Koz McRae grew up in Santa Barbara surrounded by his uncle who was a shaper and George Greenough who made boats on the roadside. After a life of partying, he decided to become a shaper and studied under fellow townsman Ryan Lovelace. His surfboards, which incorporate various tastes from the 1960s to 1980s when America was in its prime, are now rapidly gaining popularity.
Moon Child has a stubby-like outline and a well-balanced form volume. The rails with excellent controllability and the bottom that goes straight from the roll, combined with the stubby specification, promise a ride that combines tradition and innovation.
There are very slight foot marks and some cracks inside the glass that don't allow fingernails to catch on the rails and deck. The bottom looks clean and can be used as is.
