Koz McRae grew up in Santa Barbara surrounded by his uncle who was a shaper and George Greenough who made boats on the roadside. After a life of partying, he decided to become a shaper and studied under fellow townsman Ryan Lovelace. His surfboards, which incorporate various tastes from the 1960s to 1980s when America was in its prime, are now rapidly gaining popularity.
The Breeze Twin is a Hal-Simmons model that combines the Hal part in the front half of the board with the Simmons part in the back half. The outline is wider than the Fever Dream, ensuring buoyancy even with the short length. The rails are foiled in a well-balanced manner, providing both drive performance and maneuverability. It can perform turns and actions even on short shoulder waves in Japan. The full resin work is done in a stringerless form, giving it an exquisite sense of weight.
There are some minor scratches and a dent in the bottom nose area due to use, but it can still be used as is.
