Koz McRae grew up in Santa Barbara surrounded by his uncle who was a shaper and George Greenough who made boats on the roadside. After a life of partying, he decided to become a shaper and studied under fellow townsman Ryan Lovelace. His surfboards, which incorporate various tastes from the 1960s to 1980s when America was in its prime, are now rapidly gaining popularity.
The Speed Whistle started out as a bike-carrying all-rounder, but quickly became a best-seller. The wide front point and voluminous rails help with paddling and takeoff, and emphasize the drive. The roll entry into the soft triplane flows into the slight V of the tail, providing quick, responsive turns and plenty of power. It has the paddle power of a longboard and the maneuverability to easily clear sections. It can be used for surfing anywhere, whether it's a point, reef, beach, or A-frame.
The condition is that there are only a few very shallow foot marks, small scratches due to use, and traces of professional repairs, so it can be used immediately as is.
