Koz McRae grew up in Santa Barbara surrounded by his uncle who was a shaper and George Greenough who made boats on the roadside. After a life of partying, he decided to become a shaper and studied under fellow townsman Ryan Lovelace. His surfboards, which incorporate various tastes from the 1960s to 1980s when America was in its prime, are now rapidly gaining popularity.
The Super Bee is one of several variations of the Bonzer model in the Koz lineup. It has a teardrop outline with a wide front and a pin tail, and the soft rails and shallow Bonzer bottom promise easy handling in all conditions.
